Residents who were affected by the recent flooding will get some much needed assistance, thanks to the Calvin Ayre Foundation and a cash injection of one hundred and forty-nine thousand dollars.<\/p>

The cheque was presented to Minister of Social Transformation, Human Resource Development and the Blue Economy, the Hon. Dean Jonas on Monday. Jonas expressed his delight in the organization\u2019s commitment to being a good cooperate citizen.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Calvin Ayre foundation has been outstanding in their support for Antigua and Barbuda, particularly the vulnerable amongst us. Many students, many disabled individuals and many persons who were made vulnerable during this Covid crisis have benefitted directly from contributions made by the Calvin Ayre Foundation; and for this we are truly grateful\u201d.<\/p>

Minister Jonas encouraged the foundation to continue their support for the Government and people of Antigua and Barbuda, \u201cas we continue to battle not just the Covid crisis or economic crisis, but also in instances of natural disasters that continue to come upon us from time to time\u201d.<\/p>
