One individual is currently hospitalized at the Infectious Diseases Centre (IDC) with COVID-19, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rhonda Sealey-Thomas announced on Friday.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Speaking at a news conference along with Minister of Health Molwyn Joseph, Sealey-Thomas said the other 11 people with active cases of COVID-19 are all at their respective homes.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe other patients remain at home. They are mostly asymptomatic and they are being followed by the Ministry of Health and other physicians,\u201d she said.<\/p>

More females contracting virus in Antigua<\/h2>\n

Meanwhile, the CMO said more females than males are being infected with the coronavirus in Antigua.<\/p>

She said of the last three confirmed cases, one is male and two are females, bringing the count to 57 males and 65 females who have been infected since the outbreak began.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo we have slightly more females than males who have had confirmed COVID in Antigua and Barbuda,\u201d the CMO said.<\/p>
