Rastafarian Elder Franklyn King Frank-I Francis has said that government’s proposal to allow only three marijuana\u00a0plants per household is inadequate.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Francis who is also a member of the national marijuana commission told a consultation\u00a0earlier today “no less than five plants” should be the standard.<\/p>\n

That’s\u00a0two plants more than what the government is prosing to read into law soon.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Frank-I who is also Ambassador to Ethiopia told the consultation that he believes\u00a0five plants is “a reasonable amount” for people over the age of 18 to use\/grow in the privacy of their homes.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The rasta elder also said he does not agree that the 10 grams being proposed for decriminalisation\u00a0is sufficient.<\/p>\n

“I smoked ten grams for the morning already,” he told the consultations.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Francis told those gathered that\u00a0“I don’t\u00a0see how you could look into something and even in the terms of reference\u00a0you are suggesting an amount.<\/p>\n

“First of all small is a relative term and what might be small to me might not be small to somebody else,” he added.<\/p>

\"\"<\/p>\n

Among other proposals by Francis is the establishment of a licensing\u00a0board “to license producers and sellers of the particular commodity.”<\/p>\n

“I propose the creation of a medical board to access the various medicinal aspects that can be made from it and also the establishment of an industrial board,” Francis recommended.<\/p>\n
