The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) is pleased to announce that the Barbuda Registration Unit, will be open for registration and other business from Monday (tomorrow).<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

During the last week, work was completed on the Unit, which is located at Lower Bay. The team is in the process of re-adjusting to the environment.<\/p>\n

Since the passage of Hurricane Irma in September 2017, the Barbuda Registration Unit has been located at the Central Registration Facility on Sir Sydney Wallings Highway.<\/p>

There have been several calls since the relocation of Barbudans to the sister isle, for the Unit to be moved from Antigua but challenges were encountered in locating a suitable building for the registration system\/equipment.<\/p>

The Commission wishes to remind suitable candidates, that the application process for the vacant position of Registration Clerk, has been extended until September 11th<\/sup>. Interested persons are asked to submit their applications to the Registration Officer, Mr, Mulvane George.<\/p>\n
