The UK\u2019s Chevening Scholarship awardees for 2020 from Antigua and Barbuda were officially announced today in a news release from the British High Commission in St John\u2019s.<\/p>

A\u2019Shante O\u2019Keiffe, Loretta Benjamin and Simone Dias from Antigua and Barbuda were each awarded a scholarship, joining six other awardees from the Eastern Caribbean.<\/p>\n

Resident British Commissioner to Antigua and Barbuda, Lindsy Thompson, was particularly pleased to see the number of scholarships awarded to the island this year.<\/p>

Ms Thompson said \u201cit\u2019s a testament to the wealth of talent there is in Antigua and Barbuda that one-third of our Chevening scholars hail from the twin island nation this year.\u00a0 Our Chevening programme aims to identify and support future leaders, and I have no doubt that A\u2019Shante, Loretta, and Simone will return after their studies and make a substantial contribution to Antigua and Barbuda in their chosen fields\u201d.<\/p>
