A phased-in approach will be implemented by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology for students returning to school commencing 7th<\/sup> September, 2020.<\/p>

Explaining the rationale for such a decision, Acting Education Officer, Administration, Denise Mills stated this will give students time to adjust to what will become the \u201cnew norms,\u201d with health protocols and revised timetables among other guidelines.<\/p>

As it relates to public schools in the phased-in approach, kindergarten and grades 1, 2 and 6 students will return to school in the week commencing 7th<\/sup> September, 2020, while students in grades 3, 4 and 5 will return from week 2.<\/p>

The acting education officer, administration, revealed while all classes will eventually resume in the public school system, some institutions will operate a shift system. In those circumstances, week 1 will be for kindergarten, Grades 1, 2 and 6 only and week 2, all classes to include Grades 3, 4 and 5 will operate under the shift system.<\/p>\n
