Tropical Depression Eleven has formed this afternoon, and it could be near or north of the Leeward Islands this weekend.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

It is forecast to become Tropical Storm Josephine and pose an elevated threat to Antigua and the rest of the North East Caribbean with the potential of limited wind impacts from storm-force wind.<\/p>\n

At 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Eleven\r\nwas located near latitude 11.7 North, longitude 40.0 West. The\r\ndepression is moving toward the west near 16 mph (26 km\/h), and this\r\ngeneral motion is expected to continue through Wednesday.  A\r\nwest-northwestward motion at a similar forward speed is forecast to\r\nbegin Wednesday night and continue through the rest of the week.\r\n\r\nMaximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km\/h) with higher gusts.\r\nSome strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the\r\ndepression is expected to become a tropical storm by Wednesday\r\nnight.\r\n\r\nThe estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).\r\n<\/pre>\n
