A 43-year-old man has surrendered to police in connection with this incident.<\/p>\n

A teacher is now dead after she was stabbed in front of her students on the first day of school.<\/p>

The incident reportedly took place along lower George Street, Port of Spain,\u00a0near\u00a0a day-care\u00a0centre.<\/p>

From initial information, at about\u00a07.30am the woman was confronted by someone she knows.<\/p>\n

She was\u00a0physically\u00a0attacked and stabbed.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Eyewitnesses\u00a0contacted the police and paramedics and the woman was rushed for medical treatment, but she succumbed to her injuries.<\/p>\n

Investigations into the incident are continuing.<\/p>
