Prime Minister Gaston Browne has told individuals with evidence of corruption within his administration to come forward.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

“If they have any evidence of wrongdoing bring the evidence,” Browne said.<\/p>\n

He was responding to a question on Pointe FM about members of his Cabinet personally benefiting from contracts.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

“If they have for example the over pricing of any contract or any procurement that could have facilitated any kickbacks bring the evidence. Even though that may not necessarily be conclusive it could be suggestive,” Browne said.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

He said the opposition United Progressive Party must provide the evidence to back up their allegations.<\/p>\n

“We in opposition would have been able to provide all the inflated contracts during their tenure, they have not been able to produce one.”<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The prime minister has also said that there are processes to reduce corruption in contracting and procurement.<\/p>\n

“And one of the things we have done within my administration is that we have reduced or eliminated practically in all instances the opportunity for theft.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

“So all contracts have to be evaluated and where there are procurements, there has to be several bids, it has to go through the Tenders Board and through that process we have been able to eliminate the opportunity for inflated contracts and kickbacks,” he said.<\/p>

Browne said personally he does not need corruption money.<\/p>\n

“I have said unequivocally I have never gotten any borball money from government. I have never gotten none and I don’t need any.”<\/p>\n
