Police reported that 19yr-old Nicholas Augustine of Jennings was granted bail in the sum of $20,000 for Causing Death by Dangerous Driving. He is accused of causing the death of 17yr-old Theophilus Dyett of Jennings, on January 10th<\/sup>, 2020 on Valley Road.<\/p>

He appeared before Magistrate Wason on Wednesday, and was ordered to pay a deposit of $5,000 and provide two Antiguan sureties.<\/p>\n

He must also surrender his travel documents and report to Johnson\u2019s Point and Bolans Police Stations between 6am and 6pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.<\/p>

Augustine is alleged to have been the driver of a Silver Honda Fit M\/Car R 3616 that lost control and collided with a metal utility pole in the vicinity of Hall\u2019s Estate.<\/p>

Dyett was one of two passengers inside the vehicle at the time, and was transported to Mount St. John\u2019s Medical Center in critical condition.<\/p>\n

He remained at the hospital until March 18th<\/sup>, when he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor. Committal date is set for 17th<\/sup> September, 2020.<\/p>
