An autopsy found that Greenaway was strangled to death. Media reports are that he was last seen in the presence of members of the security forces.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Gaston Browne said justice will be served.<\/p>

\u201cWe perhaps should jointly be giving the assurance to the public that the Bruce Greenaway issue is being addressed by law enforcement and that justice will be served. In fact, the police are making a significant amount of progress with their investigation and it is so sensitive that they do not wish to say much at this time fearing that they could prejudice the investigation,\u201d Browne told Pointe FM.<\/p>

He added that \u201cas the commissioner said to us he does not wish to sacrifice permanent justice for temporary satisfaction. So we are appealing to Antiguans & Barbudans to suspend that need for temporary satisfaction knowing that those who were involved in the fatal killing of Bruce Greenaway, they will be brought to justice.\u201d<\/p>\n

The body of the Falmouth man was discovered on Monday 13th April, 2020 in Indian Creek.<\/p>

Attorney General Steadroy Cutie Benjamin appearing on the same radio programme said, \u201cthe police are conducting their investigation, I know that for a fact. They are doing their job properly to make certain that when charges are made they have a very strong case.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said while he doesn\u2019t get involved in the work of the police \u201cthe police said to me as the minister, we are proceeding, things are going well.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cLet the police do their work and I want the people of this country to understand I have full faith and trust in the police, they have prosecuted their own, look at the number of police in jail right now.<\/p>

\u201cI am satisfied that within the next couple of days justice will be done. Because the police are concerned with the fact that final justice is better than temporary satisfaction. Justice must be done, the investigation must be properly completed, the charges must be properly laid, the evidence must be there so that when charges are laid it is very unlikely that they will not be successful, \u201c Benjamin said.<\/p>\n
