There appears to be a disconnect with the information provided by the Central Board of Health and the Information Minister Melford Nicholas regarding the serving of food at bars.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

In guidelines issued today by the CBH, it was stated that No serving of food at bars\u00a0<\/strong>which are set to reopen on June 1st following inspection.<\/p>\n

The guidelines were part of a long list issued by the CBH today.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

However, during the post-cabinet news conference today the minister responded to a question about whether bars would be able to serve food.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

In contradiction of the directive given by the CBH to bar operators, the minister stated ” I have no information indicating that. I don’t believe that is a restriction that we would have contemplated.”<\/p>\n

He added,”there are some bars who operate, you know, have a little menu over the counter food to help persons who drink along. I don’t know that we would be interested, in the first instance, in eliminating that type of fair in a bar.”<\/p>

Nicholas said he was more concerned about social distancing and about people getting home before curfew.<\/p>\n

He went on to agree with the reporter that the information released by CBH was “false information.”<\/p>

The CBH has not announced any changes to the bars and fitness guidelines issued to the media this morning.<\/p>
