Terrence Givans has pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding of another man, who was a convicted sex offender, and to sentenced to pay $10,000.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The March 2019 matter was brought before Justice Ann-Marie Smith and she ruled that Givans must now pay the victim $1,000 forthwith or spend two months in jail.<\/p>\n

He must then pay $1,200 at the end of every month beginning June 30th or spend three months in jail.<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n

It was reported that Givans has been harassing the man since he spent some time in jail. In August 2018, Givans had wound the man in his face with a knife but he did not press charges.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

In March 2019 while the man was on his way home from work, the Givans reportedly rode past him on a bike and called him a derogatory term.<\/p>\n

Later that day, while the man\u00a0was speaking with someone outside his home, Givans came to the house and chopped him in his head with a cutlass.<\/p>

The man raised his hand to deflect the blow and was also chopped on his
\nright wrist to the point where his bone was visible.<\/p>\n

He was taken to the hospital where he was treated for a 5cm laceration to the dorsal
\naspect of his forearm, his arm was placed in a cast and he was discharged after 5 days.<\/p>

Givans, when questioned by the Police, said that the chopping victim threatened him and he rode away and then returned with a cutlass, but both the chopping victim and his brother were also armed with two cutlasses each and attacked him.<\/p>

He said it was the chopping victim\u2019s brother who accidentally chopped him. However, the brother who was 18 years old at the time, told the police that he was inside the house at the time of the incident and went outside to find his brother wounded.<\/p>\n
