The St. Johns Development Corporation will resume operations at the Flea Market aka \u201cben dung\u201d on May 30, 2020. The operations closed in March 2020 at the start of the Corona Virus COVID-19 pandemic as a means to curtail the crowding and establish social distancing protocols.<\/p>\n

\n

In light of the reopening of the economy the Corporation is allowing the return of vendors on a limited scale. The new operations will be strictly regulated and only licensed vendors will be allowed to operate. The renovation of the PDO building which includes fencing of same has caused the removal of several spots. Vendors who have been affected will be reassigned spots. In the initial phase only sixty vendors weekly will be accommodated on an alternating basis.<\/p>

There will be protocols set in place which includes strict social distancing where vendors will operate more than six feet apart, the mandatory wearing of masks, strict hand washing and sanitizing. Vendors will also monitor the number of patrons and it is recommended that they attend to no more than two customers at the same time.<\/p>\n

The Corporation has installed bathrooms at the facility complete with a disability bathroom and hand washing stations.<\/p>

The general public is also advised that the Car Boot Flea Market is operational at the Multipurpose Center and vendors and patrons can continue to use that location.<\/p>

The Car Boot\/ Flea Market operates Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays while \u201cben dung\u201d is Saturdays only.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
