A number of vagrants are requesting additional assistance from the government now that they also have to contend with the new coronavirus.<\/p>

One vagrant mentioned that since the coronavirus pandemic he noticed that assistance has become scarce.<\/p>\n

\u201dSince the corona business nuh body nuh pay we nuh mind \u201c, he said.<\/p>

He is calling on the government to extend the provisions of the soup kitchen which currently provides food in the day time for the homeless.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\u201dCan they bring us some food for we eat a night time, cause we vagrants \u201c, he implored.<\/p>\n

Another vagrant also mentioned that because of the curfew regulations, it has become more difficult to solicit assistance from passersby as there are less people on the road.<\/p>

Meanwhile, Minister for Social Transformation, Hon. Samantha Marshall says discussions will be held to see to whether additional assistance could be provided.<\/p>\n

She says the discussions will now be held in light of cabinet\u2019s decision yesterday \u00a0to further ease curfew restrictions.<\/p>
