The most recent results received by the Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment from the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) revealed one additional case of laboratory confirmed COVID-19 in Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

This means that the total number of persons with laboratory confirmation of the disease in Antigua and Barbuda has increased to 25.<\/p>\n

Of the 15 samples sent to CARPHA last Wednesday, 14 samples were negative and one was positive.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

There were no repeat tests. This means that the number of persons who previously tested positive for COVID-19, have been retested and are now negative remains at 15.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Today, May 1 2020, 12 additional samples were sent to CARPHA. This bring the total number of samples
\nsent to CARPHA for this week to 38. In keeping with its aim of increasing testing, the Ministry intends to
\nsend at least 50 samples to CARPHA weekly. This is possible with additional supplies from the OECS Secretariat and Barbados.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment thanks the public for cooperating with the measures associated with the State of Emergency. These measures along with social distancing, proper cough and sneeze etiquette, hand washing and sanitizing are crucial in our nation\u2019s fight against COVID19.<\/p>
