A 23-year-old man will re-appear in court on January 31 after he was charged with the murder of the 21-year-old cousin of the Barbados born international singer, Rihanna, last month.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\"court<\/a>Shawayne Dashawn Williams was not required to plead to the indictable offence when he appeared before Magistrate Douglas Fredericks in the District \u201cA\u201d Magistrates\u2019 Court on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

He is charged with murdering Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne, who was shot several times as he walked through a track leading to his home on December 26.<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n

His murder prompted Rihanna to call for an end to gun violence in her country where 30 murders, including 23 gun-related were recorded last year.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\u201cRIP cousin\u2026 can\u2019t believe it was just last night that I held you in my arms!\u201d she wrote to her Instagram Tuesday. \u201cNever thought that would be the last time I felt the warmth in your body!!! Love you always man!\u201d<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old singer ended her message by calling for an end to gun violence.<\/p>
