The <\/span><\/span>Police <\/span><\/span>Administration within the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is <\/span><\/span>reminding <\/span><\/span>ALL\u00a0<\/span><\/span>licensed <\/span><\/span>firearm<\/span><\/span> holder<\/span><\/span>s that their license becomes payable before 31<\/span><\/span>st<\/span><\/span> May <\/span><\/span>each year<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>

Th<\/span><\/span>at <\/span><\/span>is in accordance with Section 40 (4) of the <\/span><\/span>Firearms Act, Cap 171 of the Laws of Antigua and Barbuda, as <\/span><\/span>A<\/span><\/span>mended.<\/span><\/span> \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As a result <\/span><\/span>of the current 24hrs lockdown curfew brought about <\/span><\/span>by <\/span><\/span>the COVID-19 Pandemic,<\/span><\/span> the<\/span><\/span> hours of operation at the Licensing Department at Police Headquarters have changed. <\/span><\/span>The new office hours <\/span><\/span>are <\/span><\/span>from 7:30<\/span><\/span> am to 11:30<\/span><\/span> am, Monday-Friday.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Licensed f<\/span><\/span>irearm <\/span><\/span>holders are required to present their firearms to the <\/span><\/span>L<\/span><\/span>icensing <\/span><\/span>O<\/span><\/span>fficer <\/span><\/span>b<\/span><\/span>efore a renewal license is granted<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span>A late fee of $50 will be charged for anyone who fails to meet <\/span><\/span>the specified period<\/span><\/span>. Failure to comply with the stipulated guidelines may lead to revocation of your firearm license<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>
