The trial involving local Pilot, Colin Murraine, had more witnesses from the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) testifying that Murraine has been afraid for the life of his family and had refused to say who gave him an estimated $1.7 million worth of cocaine to transport.<\/p>

31-year-old Murraine was implicated in the recent ONDCP drug seizure at the V. C. Bird International Airport where 47.5 kilos of cocaine were found on a private charter plane that was preparing for takeoff.<\/p>\n

According to the ONDCP, the estimated wholesale street value for the 47.51kg (105lbs) of cocaine is One Million, Six Hundred and Sixty-seven Thousand, Six Hundred and One EC Dollars ($1,667,601.00 ECD).<\/p>

Tactical and Surveillance Team at the Office of National Drug and money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) Supervisor, Calvin Brown, told the court that Murraine told him that he was scared for the life of his family.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\u201cAfter a long pause and tearful eyes, he stated, \u201cofficer I\u2019m afraid for my family. You guys need to help me, I don\u2019t want nothing to happen to my family\u2019,\u201d Brown testified.<\/p>\n

Brown testified saying the pilot told him privately that a man gave him two bags to carry and that he did not know what was in the bag.<\/p>

Brown added that the pilot had planned to carry the bag to Bermuda.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said he was only asked to take the bags to Bermuda,\u201d the officer said.<\/p>

Another witness, the ONDCP arresting officer at the time, Ashley Christian, also testified saying Murraine expressed the same fear for his life and family and added that Murraine told her that he was seeing strange vehicles around his home.<\/p>

Murraine’s lawyer Wendel Robinson suggested that Brown\u2019s testimony was circumstantial, as no written notes had been taken of the interaction between him or another officer.<\/p>\n
