Castro is here for the Sixth CARICOM-Cuba Summit to be hosted Antigua and Barbuda on Friday 8 December.<\/p>

The Meeting will be co-chaired by Caricom Chairman Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell of Grenada and the President Castro.\u00a0This event marks 45 years of diplomatic relations between CARICOM and Cuba.<\/p>

Climate change, in light of a very active hurricane season in 2017, is expected to be a major focus of the meeting.<\/p>\n

A Memorandum of Understanding between Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) and Cuba\u2019s Agency for Civil Defence will be siged at the end of the meeting. The agreement is expected to provide opportunities for closer collaboration.<\/p>
