The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda, as part of its tour of significant construction works across the country, visited the YIDA project site on Wednesday.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

In Cabinet notes made available to the media, it was reported that eight houses and a club house are in various stages of construction at YIDA’s Crabbes location.<\/p>\n

Two houses are completed and a construction crew is working on finishing several of the other houses.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

“The Cabinet examined one of the homes which house staff that are currently working on the site; others are to join the building team as the project expands,” the notes read.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

To aid its construction work, The YIDA project has built its own cement batch plant.<\/p>\n

“Heavy-duty equipment and other earth-moving equipment have been engaged in the building exercise,” according to Cabinet notes.<\/p>

Meantime, it was noted that YIDA has had difficulty moving foreign exchange out of China and has appealed to the Government of Antigua and Barbuda to assist.<\/p>\n

The Government has obliged the request though details of how were not shared with the public.<\/p>
