TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES: ROAD CLOSURE
A section of Sir George Walter Hwy will be closed.
This serves as notice to allow for the safety of road users during construction works associated with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda’s Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project which is a grant being provided by the United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Partnership Fund (UKCIF).
ROAD CLOSURE: A section of Sir George Walter Highway south of the junction near the Ice House to in front Furniture Gallery Store. No right turn; for motorists exiting the junction near the Ice House
TIME: 8:30pm to 4:00am
DIVERSION(S):
For traffic heading TOWARDS the VC Bird International Airport and beyond:
- Utility Drive through Cassada Gardens into New Winthorpes and on to Barnes Hill.
For traffic heading north of the VC Bird International Airport towards St. John’s:
- Powell’s Estate into Barnes Hill to New Winthorpes, CedarValley Gardens and onto Friars Hill Road.
Road users are urged to exercise extreme caution when traversing in the construction sites. There will be NO PARKING along, within or close to the construction site.
