NOTICE: Road Closure – FHR
This serves as notice to allow for the safety of road users during construction works associated with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda’s Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project which is a grant being provided by the United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Partnership Fund (UKCIF).
Friars Hill Road:ONE NIGHT
A section of Friars Hill Road (in front of Royal Palm Place only) will be closed on Thursday 31st May from 7:00pm until 6:00am Friday 1stJune, utility works by APUA.
Friars Hill Road:ONE NIGHT
Road closure will be from the intersection near WIOC pond/ Xtreme Gym Rd (Old Oil Refinery Rd) to West Indies Oil Company(WIOC).
Alternative Route: Across the edge of the WIOC playing field (optional)
DURATION:four (4) to six (6)weeks.
DIVERSION(S):
Southbound Traffic:Xtreme Gym Road (Old Oil Refinery Rd), Marble Hill Rd, Anchorage Rd, Rowan Henry St.
Northbound Traffic:Rowan Henry St. Anchorage Rd, Marble Hill Rd, Xtreme Gym Road (Old Oil Refinery Rd).
APPEAL:
Road users are urged to exercise extreme caution when traversing in the construction sites. Warning signswill be visible for all road users who are being asked to proceed with caution for the duration of the road works. There will be workers in high visibility reflective gear at the road closure and flag people will be there to direct traffic. Local access will be maintained for road users who are residents and individuals conducting business at the business places within the closed lane.
