Northern Vybz Community Group and the Hon. Charles Fernandez is proud to present a Men’s Health Fair in collaboration with the American University of Antigua.
In our community, when it comes to men health’s prevention and check-ups, their health normally takes a back seat. This was a common opinion with men in the Rural North Constituency when canvassing. Even more so, research has indicated that compared to women, men are more likely to put off routine checkups and seeing a health care provider when noticing symptoms of a medical situation.
For this reason, among others, Minister Fernandez and the Northern Vybz community center has teamed up with one of Antigua’s leading Medical Institution to provide free screenings for men at this year’s Men Health Fair.
On May 19th, at the Cedar Grove Clinic from 8 am to 1 pm, men from across Antigua can benefit from having free screenings for their Glucose Sugar, Body Mass Index, Cholesterol, HIV, Glaucoma Testing, and Prostate.
The general public is asked to pre-register for this important opportunity. They can do so by contacting the community group at 764-4340 or register at the Cedar Grove Community Center.
