24 hour Road Closure
Date: Wednesday 24th and Friday 26th
This serves as notice to allow for the safety of road users during construction works associated with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda’s Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project which is a grant being provided by the United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Partnership Fund (UKCIF).
Sections of Two (2) roads will be affected:
Work on Friars Hill Road:
Wednesday 24th October: 9:00AM until 6:00AM the following day.
Full 24hr road closure on a section of Friars Hill Rd only – phase two (2), north of Epicurean Drive at manhole #13.
Work on Old Oil Refinery Road (Xtreme Gym Rd):
Friday 26th, October from 9:00 AM until 6:00 AM the following day.
Full 24hr road closure on Old Oil Refinery Rd (Xtreme Gym Rd) – at manhole #25.
Friars Hill Rd and Sir George Walter Hwy remain a active construction sites. As a result, motorists should drive with extreme caution and vigilance.
No parking will be allowed along main roads or side roads in the area.
