source- LOOP NEWS CARIBBEAM -The Anguilla Police Force issued an ‘all-clear’ at the Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport this afternoon after operations were temporarily suspended due to a bomb threat.
The Government of Anguilla this morning said the bomb threat was received via the Royal Anguilla Police Force.
A report states following a thorough search of the Terminal Building and an extensive sweep of the Security Restricted Area, police gave the all clear around 1.20 pm.
In a statement, acting CEO of the Anguilla Air & Sea Ports Authority (AASPA) Kendell Richardson, noted, “All threats are taken very seriously, and the response of the Government of Anguilla Emergency Services, the Staff of AASPA, and the general public, including contractors currently on-site, must be commended.
We will continue to operate with heightened vigilance and adherence to the most strict security protocols to ensure the safety of all who work at our ports and the travelling public. AASPA extends gratitude to all for their cooperation during our response to this threat.”
