Angel James, Former Bartender, to Stand Trial for Alleged Online Shopping Theft

Angel James, a woman in her late 20s, is facing allegations of stealing a co-worker’s bank card and using it to make online purchases.

The case is scheduled to be transferred to the High Court next month, depending on the availability of sufficient evidence.

James, a former bartender at Royalton Antigua resort, allegedly obtained the colleague’s banking information by recording it when the wallet was left unattended.

The victim noticed irregularities in his account and reported the incident to the police, leading to a search warrant at James’ residence where clothing items and shoes were recovered.

James is also accused of buying various items, including rope and handcuffs, amounting to over $4,000.

The committal hearing is set for July 10 with an adjournment granted. SOURCE: OBSERVER
