Angel James, a former bartender at the Royalton Antigua resort, has admitted to unauthorized use of a co-worker’s bank card, racking up over $4,000 in fraudulent purchases.

In May 2021, James reportedly recorded the card details from an unattended wallet and made numerous unauthorized transactions. The victim noticed irregularities in his account, prompting an investigation and police search of James’s home, where items including clothing, shoes, and goods from Shein and Amazon were recovered.

James pleaded guilty in the High Court last week, and a social impact report has been ordered ahead of her sentencing on January 15, 2025.
