The claims made in a YouTube video that three generators on the Alfa Nero superyacht are not functioning have been dismissed by its captain, Andy Koster.
The video, which cites unnamed sources, suggests that the vessel has only one working generator left.
However, Koster refutes these claims, stating that all three generators are in good working condition, and a fourth one serves as an emergency backup.
Koster explains that only one generator is required at any given time, and they are rotated as needed.
Port Manager Darwin Telemaque confirms that a recent inspection found no mechanical or technical issues with the Alfa Nero.
Telemaque also disputes the video’s claims that the United States is not cooperating in lifting sanctions, stating that Ambassador Sir Ronald Sanders is leading diplomatic efforts in Washington D.C., which are progressing smoothly.

The engine issue is really a mute one. I hope that no one has any illusion about when the sanctions might be lifted. In a piece that was written on a network dated 12th April Ambassador Sanders said this, “Getting a sanction placed is a simple signing of a piece of paper. Getting them removed however is a process that involves the United States Treasury Department and Congress and that process can take some time.” This to me sounds like an admission that this process can take considerable longer than we are made to believe. That the US Congress must be involved in the process of removing the sanctions really means that this process can take even months to conclude.
Yea so what. The vessel is still sanctioned..
