United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate Alex Browne has thanked his supporters following the St. Philip North by-election, expressing gratitude for their backing throughout the campaign.
In a brief message after the results became clear, Browne told supporters: “Thank you for your continued support. The work continues, my brothers and sisters.”
Browne contested the seat after resigning from the Senate to run in the by-election, which was triggered by the retirement of longtime Member of Parliament Sir Robin Yearwood.
Preliminary results showed Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) candidate Randy Baltimore holding a decisive lead in the vote count, securing victory with one ballot box still left to be counted.
