Gambles Man Charged with Unlawful Possession of Firearm and Ammunition

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Monday, 16th November 2025

Police have arrested and charged 28-year-old Sedeki Akelo Andre of Gambles with multiple firearm-related offences.

Around 2:00 a.m on Sunday, November 16, Narcotics Officers were conducting an operation on Perry Bay Main Road, when they saw the accused and carried out a search his person.

He was found in possession of a Taurus 9mm Pistol and Seven (7) matching rounds of ammunition.
He was arrested and taken into custody and is now charged with unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition.
He is expected to appear before the court to answer the charges.

The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda continues to crack down on illegal firearms and ammunition as part of its broader crime-fighting strategy.

Members of the public are encouraged to contact the police with any information regarding illegal weapons or suspicious activities.

    why are you surprised at that vile comment? I learnt some time ago that’s the calibre of Gaston Browne supporters and ignorant acolytes.

    Thankfully many have long left these ANR threads, but there are still a handful of uneducated neanderthals who just can’t string two words together (even if you teach them), Just look back a couple of years and you’ll see what I mean.

    But overall there’s been a big improvement since then.

    Browne still relies on these types to stay in power, but luckily they are diminishing faster than rats up a drain pipe, because people are wising up to what’s needed to defeat the ABLP at the next General Election.

  11. Me want the government to set one a them free with good behavior charge if the reveal the source of acquiring the guns, and this must be revealed to a tripartite body to prevent politicians from always instructing the police and ONDCP to tip toe around certain ethnicity.
