AIRPORT AERODROMES RETURNING TO NORMAL OPERATIONS

The Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority wishes to advise the general public that following the passage of Tropical Storm Jerry, there will likely be schedule delays in arriving and departing flights throughout today, Friday 10th October 2025.

Passengers are therefore urged to contact their airlines for any changes in schedule before proceeding to the airport. Once schedules have been confirmed, follow the airline’s prescribed check-in time.

  1. In the meantime the meteorological offices are completely flooded out. This is madness.
    Maintenance does not mean only fixing problems when they arise, it is also scheduling regular checks to prevent these problems from arising in the first place. I saw a video of sheets of water falling from the roof right where equipment and desks and chairs were. Staff doing as much as could be done to prevent damage to equipment. I would like to think that this could have been prevented. I mean 8 inches of rain in one night is alot but regular checks on the roof would have provided warnings at least.
