ACB Caribbean has begun introducing new Smart ATMs as part of efforts to resolve long-running service disruptions across its network.

The bank says the first machines are now operating at VillageWalk, Market Street and Thames Street, offering limited services including balance checks and cash withdrawals. For now, the ATMs will accept only ACB Caribbean cards.

Customers have faced months of outages and technical problems at several locations, prompting the bank to pledge improvements by the end of November.

Three more Smart ATMs are due to be installed by 2 December 2025, at Barbuda, Epicurean and the High Street Financial Centre.

ACB Caribbean says deposits, transfers and other functions will be added later as the trial phase expands. The bank thanked customers for their patience and said further updates will follow.

  1. At least you are trying to assist your customers. But St. John’s cooperative credit union care nothing about their customers. The work week end on Friday and on Friday afternoon after bank is closed right into Monday morning you cannot access your own monies, and when you call, you have to waste your credit and go through a long drawn out process that is not beneficial to you as the customer. And the worst part is, this is not a one time or 2 times thing. This is a every week thing for over a year now.
