The Antigua and Barbuda Table Tennis Association (ABTTA) is proud to announce the national contingent selected to represent the country at the Caribbean Region Under-19 Youth Championships, scheduled for April 20–26, 2025, in Barbados.
Representing Antigua and Barbuda are:
- Stuti Kashyap – 2024 Caribbean U15 Girls Champion; currently ranked #100 in the world (U19), #56 (U17), and #1 in the Americas (U17)
- Mekhi Simmons – making his debut at this level
- Barrington Loague – also making his first appearance at this level
- Charles Bellot – Manager/Coach
Event Participation:
The athletes will compete in both singles and doubles categories:
- Mixed Doubles: Stuti Kashyap & Mekhi Simmons
- Boys Doubles: Mekhi Simmons & Barrington Loague
- Girls Doubles: Stuti Kashyap will team up with Shantal Charles of Saint Lucia, exemplifying regional camaraderie and collaboration. This duo placed 3rd in the U15 Girls Doubles event in 2024.
Stuti continues to elevate Antigua and Barbuda’s profile on the international stage with her consistent performances. As the reigning Caribbean U15 champion and the current top-ranked U17 player in the Americas, she brings valuable experience and momentum to the team as she steps into the Under-19 category.
Mekhi and Barrington, both making their Caribbean Youth Championships debuts, represent the promising next generation of national players. Their inclusion reflects ABTTA’s commitment to athlete development through exposure to elite regional competition.
This tournament is part of ABTTA’s broader strategy to rebuild and expand its competitive program. The Association aims to field full teams in all divisions — Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, Under-19, and Seniors — by 2026, with a strong emphasis on participation in team events.
The ABTTA extends its best wishes to the athletes and encourages the public to support the team as they proudly represent Antigua and Barbuda.
