ANTIGUA & BARBUDA TOURISM LIVE- The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority (ABTA) officially launched Culinary Month 2025 on May 1st 2025 with a vibrant and flavour-filled Media Launch event held at The Fox House Restaurant and Bar known for its farm-to-table cuisine.

The occasion marked the beginning of a month-long celebration dedicated to showcasing the twin-island nation’s rich culinary heritage, creative food artisans, and top-tier dining experiences.

The launch was attended by a wide cross-section of stakeholders including media professionals, tourism officials, sponsors, restaurant owners, chefs, and influencers.

The evening was filled with excitement, cultural entertainment, and delicious cuisine that reflected the essence of what Culinary Month represents.

Guests were welcomed with the rhythmic sounds of live steelpan and a signature lemon-grass infused welcome cocktail, setting the tone for an event that blended heritage, hospitality, and innovation.

A highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the Culinary Month Centerpiece created by Jahkaydah Issac of The Flaky Crust and ended with a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony officially declaring Culinary Month open.

In his official remarks, Mr. Colin C. James, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, emphasized the importance of Culinary Month as both a tourism driver and a celebration of local talent.

“Culinary Month is not just about food it’s about community, creativity, and culture. It’s a dynamic showcase of the best that Antigua and Barbuda has to offer.”

Attendees were given an overview of the exciting schedule of events by Culinary Month Lead Ms. Shermain Jeremy, included the highly anticipated FAB Fest which was held at Cedar Valley Golf Course on May 4 .

Visiting chef Claude Lewis, son of the soil and winner of the 2019 Food Network series Chopped, shared his excitement about his return to Antigua for Culinary Month, and his collaborations with local culinary artists to showcase the destination’s cuisine.

Chef Claude made his first cooking appearance on Sunday at Fab Fest.

With Culinary Month now in full swing, May 2025 promises to be a flavorful journey across Antigua and Barbuda where every bite tells a story, and every plate is a celebration.
