ABNA donates funds to the Halo Foundation

The Antigua and Barbuda National Association (ABNA) has donated approximately EC$5000 to the Halo Foundation to assist the charity with its humanitarian endeavors. “The proceeds are from a raffle which was held at our Independence Dinner and Dance last year, “ said Everton George, President  of ABNA.

The Antigua and Barbuda National Association (ABNA) is based in the United Kingdom, and was established in June 1967 by a group of Antiguans and Barbudans living in Hackney, London. A forum was organized to meet, socialise and help address the needs of the Antiguan and Barbudan community in the UK , as well as their fellow nationals in Antigua and Barbuda.

The aims of ABNA are :

(1) To support the relief of poverty in the UK and Antigua and Barbuda, for its vulnerable community members.

(2)  To support the advancement and development of education in all aspects  — including the arts and culture , science and economics, and other areas of academic study .

Her Excellency Lady Williams thanked the Association for their thoughtfulness . “The Halo Foundation is extremely appreciative of companies , organisations and individuals that donate to our cause . It is because of this heartfelt benevolence that we are able to help so many people in need “.
