The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party’s St John’s Rural West Branch has recognised more than 60 of its longest-serving supporters at an appreciation luncheon held this week.
Branch officials described the event as a warm tribute to community members whose loyalty and volunteerism have supported the constituency’s work over many years.
They said the luncheon forms part of ongoing efforts to acknowledge residents who have “paved the way” and contributed to the area’s development.
Attendee Carol Bird welcomed the recognition, praising the branch for what she called a meaningful gesture. “Strong team and very strong and dedicated supporters,” she said.
Organisers added that the event aimed not only to honour past contributions but also to strengthen unity as the branch continues its work in St John’s Rural West.
