Gaston Browne Vows to Stay the Course Amid Attacks: ‘They Can’t Get Me Out’
Prime Minister Gaston Browne has reaffirmed his commitment to political leadership, declaring that no amount of criticism or alleged smear campaigns will force him out of office.
Addressing supporters at a political rally on Friday night, Mr Browne responded defiantly to ongoing allegations surrounding the Alfa Nero yacht and other controversies, insisting he remains focused on serving the people of Antigua and Barbuda.
“If it’s one man they can’t get out of the race, it will be Gaston Browne,” he said. “Provided that I have breath, I will continue to fight for you unrelentingly.”
Mr Browne’s remarks come amid increased scrutiny over court documents filed in the United States, in which opposition figures are alleged to have shared information with a foreign attorney. The Prime Minister described the claims as part of a broader campaign to damage his reputation and that of the country.
“This is not a trial. There is no case. What they want is to get into my bank accounts based on fabrications,” he said.
Mr Browne likened the efforts to “political treason” and accused his detractors of attempting to destabilise the nation in hopes of gaining power.
In a speech that blended political messaging with personal conviction, the Prime Minister said he is not in politics for material gain or public adoration, but to improve the lives of citizens.
“I am not in politics because I’m looking for money, fame, or sex,” he told the crowd. “I am here to serve you as your chief servant.”
He also invoked the legacy of past Labour Party leaders, particularly National Hero Sir Vere Cornwall Bird, while vowing to defend his own name with greater intensity.
“Celeste [Bird] was more concerned about being seen as a statesman,” Browne said. “But Gaston Browne will fight tooth and nail to defend his character—on the platform, on radio, and on television.”
Despite facing what he called “outlandish” and “ridiculous” accusations, Mr Browne maintained that the Labour government remains committed to good governance and national progress. He highlighted the acquisition of public assets such as the West Indies Oil Company, healthcare advances, and infrastructure upgrades as evidence of his administration’s effectiveness.
He closed his speech with a call for unity and endurance. “Let them come clean when they come, because they are underestimating the intelligence of the people of Antigua and Barbuda,” he said.
“I value the trust that you have reposed in me, and Captain Browne will never betray your trust.”

It’s only the discovery phase Gaston. The lawyers for the Russians have already proven, to the Federal Judge, that there was an enough evidences to warrant the issuing, of the Subpoena’s. The judge is not going to reverse this decision. A US Federal Judge would not be so arrogant, to frivolously issue subpoenas against the leader of a Commonwealth Nation, along with other government officials from, said Nation. No way Jose.
It appears as if Gladston and the ther defendants are already presenting their case. There is no case to answer to, as yet. It’s only the discovery phase. Next up, the Judge will decide what evidences will be allowed in, if and when there’s a trial.
