The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party will hold a town hall meeting tonight in St. Philip’s North as campaigning intensifies ahead of the March 16 by-election.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Glanvilles Community Centre and will feature ABLP caretaker Randy Baltimore alongside Prime Minister Gaston Browne and other senior party officials.
According to promotional material circulated by the party, discussion points will include jobs, health, infrastructure, land and housing, and safety and crime.
Members of the ABLP executive and parliamentary team are also expected to attend, including Party Chairman E.P. Chet Greene and other Cabinet ministers.
The event comes as Baltimore prepares to face United Progressive Party candidate Alex Browne in the by-election triggered by the resignation of long-serving MP Sir Robin Yearwood after 50 years in Parliament.
It was announced before Sir Robin’s resignation.

I am begging the people of this constituency, do not for God’s sake allow the ABLP to come and trap you with a lot of good sounding nothings. Gaston is the Ultimate CHARLATAN his only concern is the retention of power for his continued enrichment
What a coincidence that a Town Hall meeting is being held by the ABLP in the same constituency as the upcoming by-election.
They are pushing their propaganda right into our faces and up our noses, thinking we won’t notice this subtle move.
I also hope that the UPP are allowed to hold a similar meeting in the same area without interference from the ABLP?
NO AUTOCRATIC STATE IN ANTIGUA…
Brixtonian, you know how the APLP operates, they are full of tricksters led by the Ultimate CHARLATAN Gaston Browne. I already anticipated a Town Hall meeting. They will be cominh with all sorts of wonderful plans for the constituency to fool the unsuspecting and if they win everything goes on hold. For 50 years nothing significant happened. You ask Columbus
When I look at the photo above this article it gives me a good chuckle. I see people who can’t stand each other united to continue the plunder of our resources. The people of this constituency need to keep their heads on
Watch the padded voters list and with less than a month to the election, there may not be time for the voters list to be thoroughly scrutinized, objections raised and addressed on a timely manner.
Remember Gaston’s words about the transfer of voters to other constituencies where Labour candidates were weak.
It’s for the UPP to be on their P’s and Q’s. Absolutely no way there will ever be a fair process in this bi-election. I Vote in St. Mary’s South, Bolans to be exact and on the morning of the last election I heard a young lady telling a candidate “you see how far I am coming from to vote for you” and his reply was ‘if you did not have a man, I would give you one big kiss”. My question if that young lady was from Bolans why would she have to travel a great distance to vote for this joker. It’s up to to guess who that joker was
Just look at that picture. Is there anyone on that picture you can trust? Be honest.
These faces are the very same faces that let $15mil in car theft be just swept under the rug.
Ask yourself that question..can you really trust anyone of these people on this picture, can you?
Go through the picture carefully, and answer that question to yourself..you don’t have to tell anyone your answer.
It’s a honest question folks!
