ABLP Hosts St. Philip’s North Town Hall Tonight

2

The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party will hold a town hall meeting tonight in St. Philip’s North as campaigning intensifies ahead of the March 16 by-election.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Glanvilles Community Centre and will feature ABLP caretaker Randy Baltimore alongside Prime Minister Gaston Browne and other senior party officials.

According to promotional material circulated by the party, discussion points will include jobs, health, infrastructure, land and housing, and safety and crime.

Members of the ABLP executive and parliamentary team are also expected to attend, including Party Chairman E.P. Chet Greene and other Cabinet ministers.

The event comes as Baltimore prepares to face United Progressive Party candidate Alex Browne in the by-election triggered by the resignation of long-serving MP Sir Robin Yearwood after 50 years in Parliament.

It was announced before Sir Robin’s resignation.

  1. I am begging the people of this constituency, do not for God’s sake allow the ABLP to come and trap you with a lot of good sounding nothings. Gaston is the Ultimate CHARLATAN his only concern is the retention of power for his continued enrichment

  2. What a coincidence that a Town Hall meeting is being held by the ABLP in the same constituency as the upcoming by-election.

They are pushing their propaganda right into our faces and up our noses, thinking we won’t notice this subtle move.

I also hope that the UPP are allowed to hold a similar meeting in the same area without interference from the ABLP?

    NO AUTOCRATIC STATE IN ANTIGUA…
