ABEC works extensively to address connectivity issues amidst Expired Voter’s ID Card Replacement Process

St. John’s Antigua: Thursday 15th August 2024: The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) wishes to advise that there are still some Registration Units that are experiencing technical connectivity issues.

The Commission is currently in dialogue with technicians from our Election Management System (EMS) provider, the Canadian Bank Note (CBN), to resolve the challenges soonest, in efforts to facilitate a consistent flow to the Expired Voter’s ID Card Replacement Process.

Currently, the following Registration Units are still affected:

St. John’s City West

St. John’s City East

St. John’s City South

St. John’s Rural West

St. John’s Rural South

St. Mary’s North

St. Mary’s South

All Saints East & St. Luke

All Saints West

St. George

St. Philip South

St. Paul

Barbuda

In spite of the issues identified, a total of 702 persons have applied as of Wednesday 14th August 2024 to replace their Voter’s ID Cards. ABEC apologies for any inconvenience caused and ask that the public continue to exercise patience at this time.
