The Antigua Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) Coast Guard, acting within its legislated authority and on behalf of the receiver of wrecks, the Antigua Barbuda Department of Marine Services and Merchant Shipping (ADOMS) has removed the referenced vessel and repositioned it at the ABDF Coast Guard Headquarters, Deep Water Harbour facility.
The vessel, of what appears to be a white Boston Whaler, approximately 18 feet in length and bearing no clear identifying markings, was removed after being found partially submerged while moored in the Marina Bay Area.
This action was taken to mitigate the risk of further submersion and subsequent emergence as a navigational hazard.
The owner/operator of the vessel is asked to complete his/her claim at the ABDF Coast Guard Headquarters, Monday to Friday between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm local time.
Kindly note that any individual giving claim to the vessel MUST present valid documentation in support of this claim to achieve effective release.
All other queries may be channeled to the Operations Officer, Lieutenant (Junior Grade) Randolph Best @ 268-729-5802 the Coast Guard hotline at (268) 462-3206 or 462-2841(2)(3).
The ABDF Coast Guard remains steadfast in ensuring the safety of our Maritime space including all navigable and unnavigable waters in and around our sovereign state; maintaining our mandate in consistent pursuit of the Force’s mission to better serve the citizens of Antigua and Barbuda.

And hopefully, once the owner is eventually tracked down and traced, the ABDF will send them the bill for recovery, removal and storage costs.
The wanton dumping and destruction in this country of vessels and vehicles is a downright abomination.
Let’s keep this island of ours beautiful.
@ Brixtonian: And I wholeheartedly concur. Except that, there was no time frame allocated for the owner to meet: such as to mitigate the cost effect of the intervention by our valued Coast Guard to cease for removal from our pristine waters-before the auction clause is invoked as the proceeds of a forclosed measure driven to allay the burden of the government’s fiscal responsibilities of debts relief. Ah! But it was not a luxury item, you say, eh! it’s just a fisherman’s luck – as might be fitting for the benefit of a crooked ABLP crony:
A fooda ‘e fah !? A wha da man a sey! A coo ya, a coo dey! Auction anyone? I’m Lmao this Sunday morn🤣 🤣 🤣
Hope it doesn’t end up like the Alfa done garn
