The Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) has revealed that this year’s 5K Poppy Run/Walk will start from Nugent Avenue, marking a change in the traditional route.
Scheduled for Saturday, 8 November 2025, the annual event encourages participants to run or walk in honour of the nation’s military heroes. Organisers have urged residents to begin training and register early to secure their spots.
Participants will also have the opportunity to win prizes from sponsors including Royalton Antigua Resort & Spa, Subway, Carlisle Bay Antigua, Wadadli Cats, The Hut, and Meg’s Total Wellness.
The ABDF described the event as “a chance to celebrate our heroes while engaging the community in a healthy and meaningful activity.”
