The Antigua and Barbuda Athletics Association (ABAA) is under scrutiny by the Antigua and Barbuda National Olympic Committee (ABNOC) over allegations of a breach of trust by one of its team officials while on national duty abroad.

ABNOC President Hon. E.P. Chet Greene expressed concern about the lack of response from ABAA regarding this pressing matter.

The ABNOC emphasizes the importance of transparency and accountability, giving ABAA 72 hours to provide an official report on the alleged incident.

Failure to do so may result in the immediate suspension of ABAA from ABNOC activities.

  1. Who is this person that’s demanding TRANSPARENCY and ACCOUNTABILITY? Antigua is obviously not a real place.

So because the person demanding “transparency” and “accountability” is of questionable repute, does that mean that none should be given?
Did the ABAA official “breach trust” while on national duty abroad or not?
Should he/she be made to answer to the allegations or not?
What if nothing is done, then you netizens will be the same ones complaining that “Antigua is not a real place”, because ‘all dem bla***d corrupt politicians not taking any action’ since Tom, Dick, Harry, or Jane are dem comrades and friends!
Or perhaps it will be said, ‘arewe no expect nothing different from them officials, because de head ‘tink’ – the ABNOC President not leading by example’!

      Make it make sense!!

Whatever the failings/shortcomings of the President of ABNOC, it is a separate issue altogether and ought to be dealt with as such – SEPARATELY.
However, that does not negate the fact that this recent matter MUST BE ADDRESSED! These alleged breach or breaches occurred abroad, and although offenders ought to be held to account even if the breaches were localized, the fact remains that ABNOC has to protect its reputation abroad (locally too), by dealing with this matter and reporting accordingly to regional or international bodies/partners. Our standing as members of these overseas organizations DEMANDS it!

It’s not about chet at this point! That will come later – deal with this particular matter now!

“Jah guide and be a good sport”, as the late King Frank-i used to say.

  2. Chet Greene, give up your position with the Olympic Committee. How many damn paychecks do you need? You are a Substantive Minister with multiple Ministries. What the hell are you doing for Agriculture in Antigua and Barbuda? You people are a bunch of selfish bitches.

  3. This minister has no moral authority to say anything. It is a shame and a disgrace that he is still head of the noc. He is a 100% natural psychopath.
