“A Humbling Experience”: Rawdon Turner Reacts to By-Election Victory
Rawdon Turner described his overwhelming victory in the St. Peter by-election as “a humbling experience” and pledged to serve the community that raised him. “This community has spoken, and I am committed to achieving great things with them,” he said after securing 1,674 votes to the UPP’s George Wehner’s 570.
Turner’s grassroots campaign emphasized direct engagement with residents, a strategy he credited for his success.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne applauded Turner’s dedication, noting his consistent advocacy for the constituency even after losing in 2023. The by-election, triggered by the death of MP Asot Michael, saw Turner improve his vote count by 775. He will be sworn into the Cabinet today, with his role yet to be confirmed.

Best wishes. Young man. Happy to know that so many of your constuents have boldly indicated that they do expect bribes in exchange for their support. Nuff respect!
Is that Wehner crying in the background? 🤣🤣🤣
I have watched this campaign unfold up close and from afar. Congratulations well deserved WIN!
This should be a wake up call that upp leadership needs to change. Do the right thing Pringle and step down!
