More Than 300 Applicants Rejected as UWI Five Islands Admits 443 Students

The University of the West Indies (UWI) Five Islands Campus admitted 443 students for the 2025 academic year, while more than 300 applicants were turned away, Principal Professor Justin Robinson said Thursday.

Speaking at the campus’s matriculation ceremony, Robinson said 750 people applied for entry, but only 443 were offered places. He noted that the competitive intake reflected the growing demand for the Eastern Caribbean’s newest UWI campusThe UWI FIC Matriculation & Wel….

Robinson also revealed that the campus is on track to graduate about 200 students at its October commencement, more than double the 98 who graduated last year.
