THREE PERSONS IN POLICE CUSTODY FOR LARCENY AND POSSESSION OF CANNABIS
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda — Saturday, 17 May 2025
The police have arrested three individuals who are currently in custody assisting with ongoing investigations into the unlawful possession of cannabis and suspicion of Larceny.
Around 5:40 a.m. on Saturday, 17 May, officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence in Martin’s Village and seized three (3) air-conditioning units and a quantity of plant-like material resembling the controlled drug cannabis. Two men were arrested on suspicion of larceny and unlawful possession of cannabis and taken to the St. John’s Police Station along with the seized items and a motor vehicle.
In a seperate incident, a Lightfoot resident was arrested and taken into custody for questioning in connection with allegations of larceny. A vehicle was also seized in the process and taken to the police headquarters for investigation purposes.
The police are continuing their investigations into the incidents.
