Attorney General Commends Police for Crime Fighting Efforts, Calls for Continued Vigilance and Enforcement of New Laws

SOURCE: GIS- Attorney General and Minister for Public Safety Hon. Sir Steadroy Benjamin has commended the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda for their latest efforts and successes in crime fighting.

Speaking at a meeting earlier this week with the Police high command, Sir Steadroy called on the Police to redouble their efforts to keep citizens and residents safe and secure.

The Attorney General also encouraged the Police to enforce all laws of Antigua and Barbuda, in particular recently enacted legislation aimed at curbing criminal and delinquent behaviour, gang crimes and firearm related offences.

Sir Steadroy continues to pledge Government’s full and unwavering support to the RPFAB and committed to provide the Police with all necessary resources to carry out their duties.
