  1. Must have been hard for his parents to do that according to this report, I pray God be with you, and thanks for up holding the law. If he is innocent, he will be set free, and if he is guilty, you’re probably saving your self from danger.

  2. Sometimes I wonder if older people are behind of alot of this. I lived abroad for most of my life before moving back. I worked for the Police Association for many years, may it be only in the capacity of lobbying for criminal legislation. These things are real drivers of youth violence. They believe they matter and they are part of something no matter how wrong it is. Never mind peer pressure.

For example our biker gangs would have the young ones go out and commit crimes, carry out assaults, and sometime participate in hits as part of an initiation to a certain group. Is it possible this youth gang problem is being fueled by this same thing.

These youths are facing a crisis of belonging and lack of self worth. Until we address the root causes, which are many, it will only get worse. Politicians, parents, and society will have to play a roll. However, what we do know is that poverty, lack education and lack of services ( Mental, medical, financial) will certainly contribute to this stunning breakdown of the society inwhich we live.

  3. Parents are stepping up to their responsibilities it’s better now to trying to save him now that we know he has anger issues and just maybe other vulnerabilities so he can be rehabilitated early and live a good productive life as a citizen rather than to enable him to continue on a path of destruction for himself and family and so other families must step up if they know their children are falling short and up to bad things save them early by reporting them every one knows the story of the young man that bit off his mothers ear so report them so change and good can come to them through rehabilitation

  4. I am sorry this matter happened. However,I thought crimes in Antigua were over,no more. Those young people did not get the memo.

  5. Congratulations, for doing the right thing it’s best to report them now or wait until it’s crying time . At least he will be given a chance at rehabilitation and can become a productive citizen later it’s time that parents step up and report their bad children it’s best to do it now every one knows the story of of the boy who bit off his mothers ear and what he told her , don’t let your ears get bitten off report them and give them a chance to be rehabilitated. You will cry today but laugh tomorrow.

  6. This must be one of the more difficult thimg to do. Turn in your child to the Police. But in life, the correct choices are usually the hardest.
Hopefully the victim pulls through and the offender learns and recovers from this.

  7. I pray the victim recuperates fully and swiftly.
Kudos tobthe parents for such remarkable and bold step. It must be heartbreaking, but it’s the right thing to do.
I’m sure his parents would prefer to drop him off at boarding school instead of a jail, but…
I also pray the villain is repentant and in time rehabilitated
