The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre revealed fifteen (15) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Wednesday 6th October 2021 at 6pm.
One hundred and twelve (112) samples were processed at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre and eighty (80) at CARPHA.
Ninety-eight (98) recovered cases were recorded increasing the total to two thousand five hundred and fifteen (2,515).

Three (3) Covid-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the total to ninety-one (91).
Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is three thousand six hundred and seventy-eight (3,678); which is inclusive of one thousand and seventy-two (1,072) active cases. There are fifty-three (53) hospitalized cases; thirty-four (34) mild, twelve(12) moderate and seven (7) severe.
Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda has fully vaccinated forty four thousand and ninety-seven (44,097) individuals while ten thousand and seventy-six (10,076) have only received their first dose.
The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

Should not the government and the media be reporting how many of the ‘new cases’ are vaccinated Vs unvaccinated? That would be informative. After all, they do so for deaths.
