Organizers of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party Queen Pageant have officially unveiled the 13 delegates who will compete for the 2026 Labour Queen title under the theme “Echoes of the Past: Rhythm, Soul, Spirit.”
The lineup was revealed during a social media announcement that introduced the contestants representing constituencies across Antigua and Barbuda. Organizers described the group as a collection of “phenomenal delegates” who will begin activities leading up to the annual pageant.
The contestants include Treveisha Adams (St. John’s Rural West), Aliyah Andrew (St. John’s Rural East), Jolisa Cato (St. John’s City West), Jonelly Encarnacion (All Saints East and St. Luke), Mia Griffith (St. John’s City West), Iszarea Lloyd (St. Philip North), Andrecia Lewis (All Saints West), Nakierra Martin (St. George), Tonya Phillips (St. John’s Rural South), Maydoria Smith (St. John’s Rural West), Julissa Stoute (St. Paul), Jessica Tracey (St. John’s Rural North), and Queenela Williams (St. Mary’s South).
The pageant forms part of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party’s annual Labour Day activities and highlights young women from across the island who represent their constituencies while competing in various segments.
Organizers said supporters can expect a series of activities, official delegate photos and behind-the-scenes features as contestants prepare for the competition.
The 2026 Labour Queen Pageant is scheduled for May 2, when one of the contestants will be crowned the next Labour Queen.

What a bunch of shameless and low moral young ladies!!!!!
Antigua is sinking into an abyss of doom and gloom.
Our image in the international community is that of an encouragable rogue.
There is no hope for productive, inspired and qualified youths.
And so to enhance their image the ALP believes that parading innocent young ladies so that immoral politicians can make their pick is the way to build its image.
If the winner doesn’t have a US visa she cannot go to America or a US territory to enjoy her winnings.
Yet the innocent youths are unable to internalize that and are about to expose their bodies for acceptance of nothing.
Ha w you ever seen the daughter if any of the politicians as a contestant?
No.
Instead the daughter of one brought us Covid.
The niece of another has brought unbelievable pain to the law enforcement fraternity.
That contest is too immoral for them to participate.
Instead they have decided to use the daughters of the poor families as pawns.
And then we have people like Straight Shooter. Shameless and low moral internet trolls who feel better about themselves after stomping on the goals and admirations of these beautiful young women.
Let them enjoy these opportunities while they’re young and have time. Wars are raging across the world yet, you’re angered over a pageant.
My brother, the Labor Queen has been a yearly Queen show since the years of Papa Bird, so why are you now coming out against it?
I note that @Straight Shooter is coming in for some criticism about these pageants, that many see as highlighting the female form more rather than their minds.
And could there also be a disturbing or tenuous link in how misogynistic males in Antigua veiw and treat women more like sex objects rather than intelligent and equally powerful as us men?
Yes, beauty is a powerful asset to have, but having the brains to match is very important too. A couple of years ago I was at a function abroad when a beauty queen 👸🏾 was introduced to the audience, and afterwards there was a Q & A session.
Sadly, the young lady couldn’t string two words together!
Look, I know that many pageants like these will continue, but I for one would like to see them phased out over time. Because I wouldn’t be happy with any family members of mine taking part even if UPP held such events.
Beauty isn’t a crime, but objectifying women like this sometimes brings out the worst behaviour in us males. Fact!
Also Remember, that the current problems now associated with the US administration, the elites and now known as the “Epstein class” stems way back to past pageants.
Just a personal opinion…
Papa Bird is an icon in this country for sure. And the labor Queen concept revived here has a storied history.
Too many contenders over the years have been abused.
I will not refer to these young ladies as a bunch of shameless and low moral young ladies; but victims of a culture that objectifies their bodies.
The idea of Queen Pageants also exploits women with low self esteem.
While some have ended up in a better place about themselves; many have found themselves unable to cope with the pressure and stress after these pageants.
It unfortunate that this is what inspires and represents hope for ambitious young women.
It’s a measure of who we as as all society, and it does look good
Correction:It does NOT look good
HATERZ GONNA HATE! Stay focused ladies
UPP HAS NO LEGACY, NO TRADITION, NADA, ZILCH.
